Trash & Smash
Trash is easily managed and this raid teaches you banner people are your priority as you travel through.
Be aware of the Overchargers, they can put lightning circle on you that will hit quite hard and need healing through (stand out of group with this) and also a lightning that will strike the ground where you were, this will need to be kited out of the group (Call lightning).
Lightning Storm Atronach
Tank should hold the boss still in the middle of room/pad. With max resistance it is possible for the MT to survive any mechanics on this fight.
There are five safe zone locations which are named according to where the group is standing (behind the boss in it's spawn position) they would typically be named Front, Back, Left, Right & Top Right
The boss will periodically create a fast growing aoe around itself which will then explode and do damage to everyone, this is called *Impending Storm* it is not so dangerous that it is needed to be blocked and it is possible to just heal through it.
The Lightning Storm mechanic happens roughly every 20 seconds. It will do lightning damage every second while ramping up, to survive it is necessary to go into the safe zones (yellow circle aoes) and there you'll be protected from the damage ticks, once the mechanic is finished everyone should go back to the middle and continue fighting.
Foundation Stone Atronach
It is highly recommended to tab target this boss due to hitbox issues.,
The boss should be kept where it spawns and turned around so it does not face the group.,
During the fight, ads will spawn in pairs, a Firstmage Chainspinner and a Firstmage Nullifier.,
In the situation where there is only one tank, they will grab both of the spawns and then the enemies will be cleaved down by the DDs.,
If there are two tanks, then the OT will position both enemies to be in the middle stacked with the boss, chainspinner is melee so will stack easily, the nullifier is ranged so it will have to be taunted and then outranged so it runs into an easily cleaveable position.,
In a low damage group it's best to focus the ads starting with the chain spinners as they are more dangerous with their damage and nullifiers will need to be interrupted if they start channeling their healing ability.,
This boss has two main mechanics, one of which is Ground Pound where the boss will slam the ground 5 times in a row and then resume as normal, the tank should block these and the rest of the group can survive by staying in healing.,
The second mechanic activates when thr boss hits 75% and it will start doing Boulder where it crouches into a ball and launches rocks at specific members of the group. It is necessary to block these boulders when they are targetting you as they will do high damage and knock you down. During the Boulder mechanic the group should spread out into a 'loose stack' to prevent the splash damage from the rocks.
Varlariel
In a low damage group the mechanics and positioning will need to be a bit more precise.,
Higher damage groups can get away with cleaving the split off ghosts and then executing them if the explosion is close.,
There will need to be a loose stack to prevent anyone from being one shot by the AOEs that spawn under people, two of those damage ticks can one shot DDs/Heals, they can be stepped out of if reaction time is quick enough.,
Occasionally the boss will split up and spawn ghosts and each will be positioned on a pillar that are located in the room, after some time there will be explosion, this damage is based on how many split off ghosts are left alive, the more ghosts the more damage this explosion does.,
The ghost on the pillar with mushrooms can be ignored but the rest should be killed to make sure everyone survives. Every split will add another ghost to the room, starting at three and the maximum being six.,
If the ghosts do not die quick enough, it is an idea to assign specific DDs to damage ghosts at certain pillars, this way it will guarantee that they will be killed in time.,
With an OT they should go around to taunt and debuff all the split off ghosts.
The Mage
The tank should have aggro of the boss but stay far away from the boss (on maximum melee range) and the group should stack behind the boss (also maximum melee range from the boss) in two seperate groups to prevent splash damage.,
The positions must be precise because of the mechanic Chain Lightning, the boss has a 180-degree field of vision, anyone that is in vision range will be hit by the mechanic. When another player is too close to the one recieving the initital hit it will transfer over and ramp up in damage which is tank and group should be far enough away.,
During the fight the boss will spawn Axes which need to be grabbed by a tank as soon as possible, should not move from position for long as it can cause the boss to spin or the group to get hit by Chain Lightning, allow them to get closer and then they can be taunted.,
The longer the fight, the more Axes that will spawn which will make it more difficult for the tank. All heavies should be blocked as they will knock you down which could result in a death. With an OT, they will be able to grab some or all of the Axes so the MT can focus on the boss and debuffs/buffs.,
Mines will randomly spawn on the floor, they can be avoided and do not pose much threat as long as healing is up.,
Black Holes will spawn randomly around the room and they should be avoided at all costs as they do a lot of damage when standing inside, if the MT must move the group also needs to adjust so not to get hit by Chain Lightning. Generally they will not spawn in the middle so it is easy to avoid them be a threat.,
There will be ads called Reflections that will spawn randomly. They should be debuffed and focused down, especially in lower damage groups as they can ramp up their damage and that combined with other mechanics can one shot members. Having multiple Reflections can mean too much damage is coming through as well, so it is necessary to make sure there is not multiple of them.
Hard Mode Only Mechanics
Meteors will spawn over players heads which need to be blocked otherwise you'll be stunned.,
There will be Storm Atronachs spawning which must be focused down as they can output damage that combined with other mechanics can cause players to die. At low health they will repeatedly throw an arena wide lightning damage until they die, they need to be executed fast.
Execute Mechanics
At 15% the boss will knock the group over three times in a row, all Axes and Reflections will despawn for this phase. The boss needs to be bursted down during this phase as the entire group will take ramping up damage from the boss. Heals must always be up to keep the group alive and debuffs/buffs are important here.
